Privacy Policy
Draft · Last updated July 2026
This is a draft policy for an MVP. It has not been reviewed by a qualified legal professional and does not claim compliance with any specific regulation.
ThankYouDoctor is built with privacy-conscious controls. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Mobile number — used only to verify you with a one-time password (OTP) and to send status updates about your submission. It is stored encrypted, is never displayed publicly, and is never sold.
- Your Thank You — the written text, audio, or video you choose to submit, along with the attribution level you select (full name, first name, or anonymous).
- Consent records — the confirmations you provide at submission time, kept with your Thank You.
- Technical data — limited, privacy-conscious usage events (never your phone number, your Thank You content, or medical details).
How your content is used
- Submissions are screened by automated tools and then reviewed by a human moderator before any publication.
- Sensitive details (contact information, ID numbers, third-party names) may be redacted during moderation.
- Audio and video files are stored in private storage and served only through time-limited links.
Your choices
- You choose how you appear publicly: full name, first name only, or anonymous.
- You may request removal of your Thank You at any time via the Removal Request page.
- Please avoid including medical details you do not want made public — we do not require any diagnosis information.
Retention
Rejected submissions and unverified accounts are retained only for a limited, configurable period before deletion. Published content remains until you request removal or moderation removes it.
